5 easy ways with kūmara

Kūmara is really versatile and sweet. It's generally available all year round in New Zealand and will keep for long periods if stored in a cool, dark place (such as a cupboard).

You can use any variety of kūmara (red, gold or orange) in these recipes.

  1. Pumpkin and kūmara soup
  2. Lamb, kūmara and capsicum patties
  3. Kūmara and banana salad
  4. Kūtai (mussel) and kūmara fritters
  5. Kumara bliss balls
