Pukekura Park, New Plymouth

This amazing park has playgrounds, bush walks, bridges, lakes, fern caves, picnic lawns plus a fountain, waterfall and water wheel. Your family can do something different every time you come because there is so much to see and do.

Often described as the jewel in New Plymouth's crown, Pukekura Park covers 52ha (128 acres) in the heart of the city and is one of New Zealand's best botanical gardens. There are interesting art sculptures and decorative structures everywhere. Explore the glass-topped fern caves built underground.

The main entrance is on Fillis Street and there is more free car parking at the entrances on Rogan Street, Victoria Road and Brooklands Park Drive.
