10 meneti ki te whakarite, 15 meneti ki te taka, hei kai mā te 4 tāngata
Ingredients
4 kūmara (4 kūmara)
1 avocado (1 rahopūru)
1 red onion (1 riki whero)
2 tomatoes (2 tomato)
Any herbs, fresh or dried (Ētahi momo otaota hou, maroke rānei)
Lemon juice (Wai rēmana)
1 Tbs oil (1P noni)
Salt and pepper to season (Tote me te pepa hei whakatāwara)
Method
1. Turn oven on to 160c (Whakamahanatia te oumu ki te 160 tākiri).
2. Chop kūmara into chips or wedges (Tapahia te kūmara kia tipi, kia matakahi rānei te āhua).
3. Oil and season kūmara (Whakanonia, whakatāwarahia hoki ngā kūmara).
4. Spread on an oven tray lined with baking paper (Horahia ki tētahi pae oumu he pepa tunu o runga).
5. Cook in oven for 12-15 minutes depending on thickness of chips or wedges (Tunua ki te oumu mō te 12-15 meneti, kei te āhua tonu o te mātatoru o ngā tipi, matakahi rānei.).
6. Remove and set aside (Tangohia, ka whakatahatia ai).
7. De-skin and dice avocado (you can mash if you like) (Warua, ā, tapatapahia te rahopūru (penua ki te pīrangi)).
8. Finely chop red onion and tomato and add to avocado (Tapahia te riki whero me ngā tomato kia iti rawa atu, ā, whakaurua ki te rahopūru).
9. Add the juice of ½ lemon (Whakaurua te wai o te ½ rēmana).
10. Add the herbs. Season both and serve (Āpitihia ngā otaota. Whakatāwarahia ngā mea e rua, ka horahia ai).
