Egg in a basket

An old favourite that will be a hit any time of day!
Ingredients
  • - 1 bread roll
  • - 1 egg
  • - pinch of salt and pepper
Method
  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the bread roll on an oven tray.
  2. 2. Cut the top off the bread roll and scoop out some of the bread inside with a spoon.
  3. 3. Carefully crack the egg into the middle of the bread roll.
  4. 4. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. 5. Take out of the oven and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
