Leaf art
Getting kids outside is great for creativity and connecting with nature and your local park provides the perfect canvas for some leaf art.
All you need is a park with lots of tree varieties and plenty of leaves on the ground. Look for lots of different shaped, coloured, sized and textured leaves. Gather them up and be as creative as you like.
Some ideas to try include:
- making an animal shape or exploding fireworks with leaves
- making a winding road with leaves
- spelling out your name with leaves - try a different colour for each letter.
Leaf art is easiest in autumn when there are lots of leaves on the ground but will still be fun throughout the rest of the year.
